Jungle River Cruises– Glide down a placid river ecosystem teeming with crocodiles, scarlet macaws, Jesus Christ lizards,and a multitude of plant and animal species. This is a safe, comfortable way to see the wildlife on the Central Pacific Coast.
Guided Hike at Carara Biological Reserve– Carara is a biological reserve that is full of monkeys, leaf cutter ants, frogs, sloths, iguanas and over 200 species of birds. Less crowded than Manuel Antonio National Park, Carara also has the second largest population of scarlet macaws in Costa Rica.
Sportfishing– The Central Pacific is home to some of the best deep sea fishing in the world. Experience the adrenaline of catching sailfish, dorado, tuna and wahoo on our professionally equipped 44-ft yacht. We’re located in the Los Sueños Marina and have been fishing these waters since 1992.
Canopy Tours– Hiking, traversing on overhead cables and rappelling in the tree tops all make the Canopy Tour an exhilarating experience. We only use the Original Canopy Tour company, because they have a perfect safety record. This is a great adventure for all ages, is not strenuous and does not require prior experience.
Cruises to Tortuga Island– Board a lovely catamaran yacht to Tortuga Island, which is famous for its beautiful beach. Play in the surf or sun on the beach. This is a very scenic, relaxing full day on the ocean and beach.
Great Beaches– Playa Blanca is officially rated as the best beach in Costa Rica. Playa Blanca is safe with limited access, good snorkeling and boogie boarding. Manuel Antonio National Park has a nice beach near Quepos, but it can be overcrowded, is quite small and often has vendors on the beach!
Golfat Los Sueños– A beautifully-designed course that weaves in and out of rainforest. This challenging Ted Robinson-design might provide you with the most scenic round of your life.
Whitewater RaftingHalf-day, Class III-IV raftingtrips are available on the Naranjo and Savegre Rivers near Quepos. While scenic and enjoyable, the best rafting takes place on the Pacuare River from San Jose.
Rainforest Aerial Tram: A cascading 40-foot waterfall, giant rainforest trees and panoramic views of the ocean are all part of the ride. Open-air gondolas with canvas awnings seat eight passengers and a naturalist guide. The rugged topography of the forest means the modified ski lift skims the forest floor, and then soars to a maximum height of 130 feet above a rugged valley. The tour also includes a 45-minute guided nature walk.
Sunset Cruises– Join us on our yacht from the Los Sueños Marina for a 3 hour ocean cruise. Watch the sunset as dolphins race with the bow of the boat. We return to the marina by starlight after a memorable evening on the ocean.
Surfing: Jaco is the surf capital of the Central Pacific. Waves range from beginning level to advanced. Riptides can be present. Surfboards and lessons are readily available if needed.
There are several beaches in this area which feature good surfing.
Horseback Riding: Although many horseback tours are available, it is important to choose a company with good equipment and healthy horses. This tour near Jaco lasts 2.5 hours. You can ride in the morning or in the afternoon to enjoy the sunset. Ride through the rainforest and then along a ridge with panoramic views of the ocean.
Sea Kayaking:Kayak along the coastline to Costa Rica’s top rated white sand beach where you can snorkel and have refreshments. This is an active and inexpensive way to view the shoreline and experience the ocean.
